So what did you think of the title of this post? Did it pique your interest at all to come read my Day 10 post today? Yeah? Good! Then I accomplished what I set out to do and that was to come up with a catchy title to lure you in to read my post! Now that you’re here, I want to share with you some of the best email subject lines that will boost your email open rates. If you’re in the business of marketing yourself or your clients, and you have a subscriber following, now you need to consider the best way to catch the attention of your readers and keep them interested in what you offer. I know I’m guilty of having boring email titles (even blog titles, for that matter), but I’m going to start having a strategy of picking better titles after I read the article on the OptinMonster site: https://optinmonster.com/101-email-subject-lines-your-subscribers-cant-resist/
Aside from the post title above, I picked my favorites and listed them below.
“*Don’t Open This Email*” (If you’re like many and you’re the kid that put your hand in the cookie jar even though your mom said not to, you’ll open the email! LOL)
“Check out my new “she-shed” [PICS]” (This originally said “man-cave”, but we all know what happened to Cheryl’s she-shed!)
“? a surprise gift for you! {unwrap}” (I am curious to see what the gift is!)
“Need a day at the beach? Just scratch n’ sniff your way to paradise…” (Travelocity stated this, but how cool would it be if we really scratch and sniff!)
“Your Butt Will Look Great in These Workout Pants” (I would buy those workout pants! LOL)
“Complimentary gift wrap on all purchases” (Great if you’re buying birthday or Christmas presents)
“Steal these email templates…” (Since I am SLOW at writing, I’ll take what I can get and customize them for my business.)
“212 blog post ideas” (The more blog post ideas I can find, the better.)
The titles above are really cool and you’re welcome to make them your own, with a tweak or two, of course.
I also want to share a fabulous blog expert who I have known for quite a while now and have followed her in the past, but just realized I need to start following her blog and emails again and her name is Michelle Shaeffer, Girl Blogger Next Door. She is actually a member of the UBC Facebook group and has actually participated in past challenges based on posts on her own blog. How cool is that?!
She has a unique way of sharing her blogging expertise with the use of video, podcasts and infographics that really drill down on the best ways to write and share your posts. She has been an inspiration to me through the years and I think once you visit her site, you’ll see what I mean.
So if you’re stuck on just trying to decide what your next attention-getting blog post title is going to be, I found on one of Michelle’s blog posts the following infographic that I know will be a huge help. And if you really want to dive more into writing your posts, check out her downloadable PDF called, “How to Easily Write Traffic-Attracting Headlines“. You can find it here: https://virago.pages.co/43-headline-templates/ (No promotions here…just giving Michelle a shout-out for her works!) and take a look at this article called, 103 Creative Business Blog Post Idea Starters. Great info!

Michelle actually started the UBC challenge and I have been in the group ever since she used to lead it. I love Michelle! And those are great title ideas. I am going to see if there are any I’d like to use to inspire some blog post titles before the challenge is over.
Goodness gracious! I believe I remember her starting the UBC group, then she brought on a partner to help. I totally forgot about that! Pretty sure she’s the one that got me to join the challenge to begin with. I just checked my membership on the group page and Michelle was the one that added me. I’ll be looking over those blog title ideas myself for the rest of the challenge this month! 🙂
What great catchy titles! Thanks for the great information, I try to use catchy titles on certain blogs.
You’re welcome, Martha! I try to use catchy titles too, but always need a little help!
I liked “Dont open this email”. Very informative post. Great for newbies.
Thank you, Ginia!
