Today’s post is a personal reflection and an idea that came from the Ultimate Blog Challenge theme for the day and that’s to write about what’s on your bucket list you want to accomplish in your lifetime.
I’ve got a really big item on my bucket list and I have a small item on my bucket list. Nothing that’s crazy or anything. Before I’m too old to get around, I would like to take a trip to Ireland and visit some of the popular towns and villages while I’m there. Perhaps get to taste the local cuisine too. You know…foods like, Irish Stew, Bacon and Cabbage, Brown Bread, and we cannot forget Irish Potatoes!

The other thing on my bucket list is to have the time and money to make all different varieties of soap. Yep, I want to make soap for me, my family and anyone interested in buying it from me. Right now, I don’t have the time as I’m running a business and still raising one child that’s still in school. Not to mention, I have five fur babies that keep me on my toes too. BUT…someday, I’m going to make that leap into creating the best-selling (and the best smelling) soaps around. I had a chance last year to create my very first batch of cold-processed soap and it was well received by family and friends. I haven’t had a chance to make it again, however. But someday!

I would love to hear what things are on your bucket list you have not been able to check off yet…or maybe this is your year to accomplish them. Let me know in the comments below.

Loved your post…by chance, are your ancestors from Ireland? Loved that photo you shared…
Nancy, my husband’s ancestors are from Ireland. I just took his last name. LOL
What a great bucket list! If you can’t get to Ireland, I make an awesome cabbage and bacon dish! 🤣🤣 How cool that About your soap making. My Grant and I were just talking about making some!
Thanks, Martha! I’ll take some of that cabbage and bacon dish! Soap making is fun, but if you’re using the cold-process technique, you have to be super-careful with the lye solution. Let’s just say when I finished mixing the soap and put it into the mold, it smelled SO good. It made my whole house smell like lavender!
